Avital is of Hebrew origin meaning “father of dew”, referring to God as sustainer. It’s a name that certainly evokes visions of clear spring sunrises, as the dew begins to evaporate off the grass in the sunlight.
In kabbalah, Tal (dew) signifies Divine nourishment and is considered God's blessing rain because it brings water and moisture to the earth without the damage of rain and at dawn, when people usually stay in their homes.
The name Avital first appeared in the book of Samuel, who is mentioned as one of King David's wives.
